Polarity AI: Building a Human-Centered Future for the AI Revolution

Updated: Oct 6

Founder & CEO, 2022 - Present

TL;DR

  • The chaos of late 2022 sparked a personal and professional rebirth centered on artificial intelligence.

  • What began as experimentation with ChatGPT evolved into Polarity AI, a company helping small and mid-sized businesses adapt to the AI era.

  • The journey reveals how crisis, curiosity, and collaboration can turn uncertainty into innovation.

When ChatGPT debuted in November 2022, it caught nearly everyone off guard. For me, it arrived during a personal low point, a period of exhaustion, upheaval, and self-reflection. Yet something about this new technology felt seismic. Even without full clarity, I knew it would change everything.

Over the following months, I immersed myself in learning: Discord communities, YouTube tutorials, TikTok explainers, and countless experiments within ChatGPT itself. I wasn’t chasing hype, I was rebuilding focus. And that curiosity would soon evolve into Polarity AI, a company born from firsthand discovery and genuine transformation.

My background has always revolved around business strategy and entrepreneurship. AI, to me, wasn’t just a novelty, it was a mirror reflecting how quickly the rules of business were changing. I wanted to explore how these tools could help people like me: small- and medium-sized business owners, creators, and dreamers trying to keep pace with technology without losing their human touch.

Early exploration came with noise. Dozens of would-be “AI startups” popped up overnight, white-label wrappers built on fragile tech. I resisted the temptation to chase quick money and instead studied the field deeply. Many of those early apps collapsed with each model update, confirming the intuition that substance would outlast speed.

A pivotal moment came in fall 2023, at a Manhattan restaurant owned by the father of a well-known celebrity. Mid-conversation, as I explained AI’s potential to transform his small business, I watched the realization click for him, and for my business partner sitting beside me. That was the aha moment that became Polarity’s origin story.

By late 2023, I had incorporated Polarity AI in Delaware, headquartered it in New York, and brought on co-founder Jeremy Ryan, who sunsetted his own marketing agency to join me. Together, we experimented, consulted, and built.

Our first offering was education, micro-learning, workshops, and resource guides, but client demand flipped the model. Businesses didn’t just want to learn; they wanted us to do it for them. Consulting revenue flowed in, yet mentors wisely warned us not to become another time-based service firm. Instead, we synthesized everything we’d learned into a scalable product: The Playbook, an adaptive AI tool for entrepreneurs navigating the new economy.

The journey has been humbling. AI didn’t just reshape my business, it reshaped me. I learned that speed means nothing without alignment, and that technology’s true power lies in making humans more capable, not replaceable.

Polarity AI exists in a moment of historic transition. As Meta, OpenAI, and others race ahead, small businesses risk being left behind. Through partnerships, AI summits, and experimentation across every major model, from GPT to Claude to Perplexity, we’ve proven that innovation can be inclusive when built with intention.

If you’re overwhelmed by AI, start small. Ask how it can help you today, then keep building from there. Transformation isn’t instant; it’s iterative. Curiosity, not code, is the real superpower.

From personal collapse to corporate creation, Polarity AI grew from the same principle guiding all progress: clarity through curiosity. As we launch The Playbook, the mission remains simple, help businesses navigate the future without losing their humanity.
